A Spiritual Bouquet for Joshua

A Spiritual Bouquet for Joshua

Dear Parishioners,

In June, Joshua Grandmaison completes his Internship at Annunciation of the Lord. It has been an eventful year for both Annunciation and Joshua. To thank Joshua for his time of service and to support him in prayer, wouldn’t it be nice to give him a Spiritual Bouquet at Pentecost?

A Spiritual Bouquet is a card or letter that lists the prayers or devotional acts that someone has or will offer for someone else to express joy or best wishes, in commemoration of a special occasion.

You can gather “flowers” for Joshua’s spiritual bouquet by offering:

  • Rosaries
  • Divine Mercy Chaplets
  • Our Fathers
  • Stations of the Cross
  • Acts of Penance or Good Deeds performed

Each rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Hail Mary, Our Father or sacrifice made and offered for Joshua’s intentions is a spiritual flower in a bouquet of blessings.
There are several ways you can contribute to the parish Spiritual Bouquet.

  • Send an email with the prayers your family says or will say for Joshua.
  • Record a short video of your family praying for Joshua.
  • Make a paper flower bouquet with your prayers written on each pedal or flower.

All submissions must be received by May 24th, 2020.

Send your email or video to Lorie O’Reilly at volunteers@annunciation-ottawa.com. Please indicate Spiritual Bouquet in the subject line.

Mail or drop off hand-crafted items in the parish mailbox.

All items will be given to Joshua at the end of the Pentecost Vigil on Saturday, May 30th at 8 pm. Joshua will be thrilled to hear how parishioners have been praying for him.
