February 19, 2013, 12:00 AM - March 12, 2013, 12:00 AM
Join us on Tuesday, February 19th at St. Monica Parish [2080 Merivale Road] as we journey through the liturgical season, and gain insight on the reasons behind the selection and order of the Sunday Lectionary, bringing even more meaning to your experience of the mass. Father Normand Bonneau will present the liturgical principles underlying the Sunday Lectionary - the main features of its configuration, and the organization of biblical readings that form its "architecture". We will discuss why these readings were selected and why they were placed in a particular order. Much of this will be illustrated in an examination of the season of Lent. The talk will take place from 7pm - 9pm after mass at 6pm. This is the first of two talks being hosted at St. Monica Parish.
The second talk, by Father Andrea Spatafora will take place on Tuesday, March 12th from 7pm - 9pm. The lecture will declare the Good News according to the Apocalypse, and is a look into the message of hope and salvation that can be found in the Book of Revelation. All are welcome
