What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. The goal is to create a space where people come and discuss life’s big questions in a friendly, open, and informal environment.
It doesn’t matter what you believe or don’t believe; come as you are. There’s no registration required, and no commitment. Come to the first night and see if it’s for you!
Alpha talks are designed to be engaging and to inspire conversation. Around 30 minutes long, each talk explores the big issues around faith and unpacks the basics of Christianity, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”
After a talk, there’s always discussion time. The chance to share your thoughts about the talk without being corrected or judged is one of the most important parts of Alpha. There’s no obligation to say anything; it’s simply an opportunity to hear from others and to contribute your own perspective.
Register for the next Alpha!
The next Alpha will begin on February 1 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. There’s no registration required, but it can help us estimate numbers for food to know how many to expect. If you’ve taken Alpha before and would like to join the team, you can also fill out the form as a volunteer.
