Our God has a great tenderness for the grieving and the broken-hearted. The shortest verse in scripture records his own moment of grief at the death of a loved one: “Jesus wept.” (John 11:35).
If you’ve lost a child, know God is with you in your heartbreak. Your child has always been known and loved by him.
Online Support
For immediate online support, we recommend Red Bird ministries, an Catholic ministry dedicated to supporting families through the loss of a child. Their website has practical resources to support you before, during, and after a miscarriage, as well as spiritual resources

In-Person Support
Fill out the form below to request a parish miscarriage support basket (for yourself or for a loved one) and/or to request that one of our pastors reach out.
Support baskets include beautiful scripture cards (with verses submitted by mothers who have lost a child), a prayer card to St. Gianna Beretta Molla (a modern saint who had two miscarriages), peppermint tea, a candle, and resource brochures for Catholic spiritual support.
If you're selecting a basket on behalf of a loved one, you will need to pick it up at the parish office. A team member will reach out to discuss pickup.
Share your child’s name
During October, Annunciation hosts a Mass of Remembrance to honour children lost through miscarriage or in infancy. This Mass is an opportunity to entrust to the Lord our children who have gone home to his arms, and to grieve together.
You are still welcome to submit a name even if you cannot attend a Mass. It would be our honour to remember your child.
Names are submitted to the Archdiocesan website and shared with all parishes hosting Masses of Remembrance. All submitted names are honoured at the beginning of the Mass.
