Pentecost Is Coming
It is almost here! Annunciation is holding an evening of praise and worship on Saturday, May 22 at 7:00 p.m. which will be streamed on the parish’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. There will be a time for praise and worship, Fr. Rob will offer a short reflection and you will be invited to submit your special prayer intentions. Mark your calendar and plan to join us.
Seeing Red
As we celebrate Pentecost, don’t forget to wear red or bring something red (including your car) to the Sunday parking lot mass at 10:00 a.m.
The Mission – Companions of the Cross
To prepare your hearts for the Holy Spirit, join the Companions of the Cross who are hosting a reply of the virtual Pentecost Mission from 2020 on May 18, 19, and 20 at 7:00 p.m. Sign up is required.
Garden of Hope – Find the Joy
What are you going to plant this summer? Who will you remember?
In addition to plants, if you took home a rock from last year’s garden, don’t forget to drop on by and plant it among the flowers.
Don’t forget to put out your lawn signs from last year, if you have one. For those of you who need a sign – more are on the way.
Pray the Rosary – Pray for an End to the Pandemic
During the month of May, Pope Francis has asked all Catholics to pray the Rosary for the end the Pandemic.
You can join Bishop Robert Barron in praying the rosary https://www.wordonfire.org/rosary.
What’s Happening this Sunday? One Community, One Mass, One Church
There are plenty of ways for our parish community to come together to worship our Lord this weekend. Coming together as one body, one community, as one people of God is central to our identity as Catholics and as Christians.
Mass will be offered on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
- For those parishioners who are comfortable doing so, you can join us in the parking lot for Mass. Simply tune your radio to 99.5.
- Another option is to join the live-streaming of the Mass on our parish YouTube channel and Facebook page. Go to the parish website annunciation-ottawa.com and click on the Mass Online button.
- A third option is to connect with fellow parishioners via Zoom and celebrate the Mass together https://zoom.us/j/91570305651.
- Finally, if you are not able to make Mass at 10:00 a.m., the recording of the Mass will be available online on our parish YouTube channel.
If you have any stories or photos you wish to share about your experience of Sunday Mass in the parking lot, please send them to communications@annunciation-ottawa.com
Drive-by Holy Communion will be available following Mass, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
And if your schedule permits, why not join us for the Pastor’s Chat, happening at 12:00 noon on the parish’s YouTube and Facebook pages.
