Fr. Yvon Soucy

We want to remember Fr. Yvon Soucy who passed away on Sunday, October 10 at the age of 90.

Many parishioners who predate the establishment of Annunciation of the Lord Parish will remember Fr. Soucy who offered Mass for local families from Beacon Heights at the local high school.

Fr. Soucy was a priest for 63 years and leaves behind many friends in the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall.  Please remember Fr. Soucy in your prayers.

Save the Date

The Annual Memorial Mass to remember family and friends who have passed away during the past year will be held on November 2nd at 7:00 p.m.

New Beginnings

As a sign that life is beginning to return to the parish, here are a few things happening at Annunciation of the Lord:

  1.  Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) has resumed for young children between the ages of 3 years and 12.  CGS is a foundational program that helps children come to know and love Jesus.
  1. The first lunch for seniors was hosted by the Ministry for Seniors following the noon Mass on Wednesday.  The luncheon is a great way for folks to come together to share food and fellowship.  For learn more about this event and the Ministry for Seniors, contact seniors@annunciation-ottawa.com.
  1. The Baptismal Prep Team has active working with parents of infants and small children who will be welcomed into the Church in Baptism.  Between October 2nd and November 13th, thirteen children will be baptised. This is a time for joyful celebration.

We ask that you to pray for the leaders of CGS, Ministry for Seniors and Baptismal Prep and for all Ministry leaders who give their time and talents to serve the people of Annunciation of the Lord.
