Christmas Hampers
We are excited to be participating in Christmas Hampers again this year! Last year, we matched families directly with sponsors in our parish. This was a great success and we’ll be following the same format this year!
As a parish community, we are hoping to provide 40 hampers for families in need this Christmas. We invite you to sponsor a family as an individual or as a team. Sponsor a family today and make a difference in someone’s Christmas.
Email the parish at outreach@annunciation-ottawa.com indicating your wish to sponsor a hamper and the family size.

Advent Tree
A beautiful Advent tree will be set up on the first Sunday of Advent, November 27/28. We’ll be collecting gift cards to donate to local families this Christmas. Simply bring in your gift card(s) and put them in the gift card holders on the tree. We’ll be collecting the gift cards until December 12. Here are some gift card ideas for families, children’s gifts and teenagers:
- Loblaws
- Walmart
- Toys R’Us
- McDonalds
- Tim Horton’s
- Popeye’s
- Pizza Pizza
Mass For Seniors and Luncheon
The next Mass for seniors will be held on November 17 at Noon. The Mass will be followed by lunch in the parish hall. To attend the luncheon, proof of vaccination is required.
Name that Ministry!
Knowing that the Annunciation of the Lord seniors are a creative group, the advisory committee would like your suggestions. We are inviting you to submit possible name(s) for the Ministry for seniors. The committee will then present 3-5 possible names (perhaps at the Christmas luncheon) to get your feedback. All contributors will be eligible for a $10 gift certificate draw at the Nov. 17th lunch.
Ways to contribute a name suggestion:
- Send your suggestion or suggestions with your full name by November 16th to seniors@annunciation-ottawa.com.
- Fill out a ballot at the seniors’ luncheon after the noon mass November 17th.
Winter Entering Procedures
