Synod 2021- 2023 – for a Synodol Church
The synod process is an opportunity for us to first, listen to members of our parish, to our community, and to those in every walk of life about what their personal experiences have been with our parish and the Catholic Church as a whole. Secondly, we will take this information and discern where the Holy Spirit is guiding us to grow on a parish and diocesan level. This will be facilitated through small group gatherings where all people will have the opportunity to share.
We are happy to announce that Lindsay Delisle has agreed to be the facilitator for this project at Annunciation of the Lord Parish, and she is thrilled to be a part of listening to the needs of our community and developing a plan for how to meet those needs.
To facilitate the process of listening, Lindsay and her team will be asking members of our parish to share their stories and ideas, and to help reach the greater community. We are actively recruiting people with a desire to be part of the Synod team; a team that will be running the small group sessions, discerning where we are being called as a parish, etc…
Please take some time to prayerfully consider if this is something in which you feel called to participate. This could be a truly beautiful opportunity to connect with people, listen to their experiences, and be part of creating a vision of growth for our parish moving forward. If this sounds like something right up your alley, please email Lindsay at synod@annunciation-ottawa.com.
