Noon Mass on Sundays – A Reminder

A gentle reminder that there will be no 12:00 noon Mass on Sundays.  The Noon mass was introduced during the pandemic to make sure everyone who wanted to attend Mass could because of restrictions on the number of people who could attend. As conditions have changed, it seems now is a good time to return to our regular Mass times.  For those who have been attending this Mass, beginning in July please consider attending the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday or on Sunday Masses at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.

Confession Times

As Father Rob mentioned at the Masses last weekend, there will no longer be confessions heard on Thursday afternoons and evenings.   The parish will revert back to its regular confession times which are as follows:

  • Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:55 a.m.
  • 4:30 p.m. to 4:55 p.m. on Saturdays before Mass
  • Or by appointment.

Summer Office Hours

The parish office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  The office will be closed on Friday, July 1st for Canada Day.

VBS Décor Parties – Church Hall

Wednesday, July 6th, 6:30 – 9:30 pm

Calling all parishioners, ages 12 – 112!  You are invited to help prepare décor items to be used to transform the hall and common areas to a desert-like setting for our VBS camp.  You don’t need to be creative or artistic, handy or strong.  A love of God, a desire to share His grace and perhaps some older attire (paint clothes) is all you need.  We will provide materials, instructions, snacks and fun! Individuals under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

A Thank you from Lorie

This is my last week as an employee of Annunciation of the Lord Parish.  When Fr. Yves asked me to join the parish staff in 2015, I was excited to get to know parishioners better and to do my small part in supporting the parish mission.  The last 7 years have been busy and fruitful. I would like to thank all the ministry leaders and volunteers I have worked with over the years.  Getting to know so many wonderful people has been the best part of my job! I truly believe Annunciation is one of the best parishes in the diocese because of the amazing people in the pews.  It was a pleasure working with you.

Although I have officially retired, my husband, Richard, and I will continue to attend Annunciation.  Maybe I will just volunteer in the fall! 😉

Have a wonderful summer and thank you all.

Lorie O’Reilly, Director of Volunteers, retired.
