ADVENT OUTREACH
As announced this Sunday, we’ve begun our Advent Outreach! There are three ways you can get involved:
1) Sponsor a Christmas Hamper.
We have 40 families in need of a Christmas Dinner hamper. The cost ranges from 75$-150$, depending on family size, and we encourage you to pair up with friends or family to sponsor a hamper together. The best part? You get to personally deliver the hamper to your sponsored family!
For more details on Christmas Hampers, or for the registration form, click here.
2) Donate Gift Cards.
Our partner schools have requested gift cards of 30$ each to help families purchase Christmas gifts for one another. In the past, you may have donated pre-purchased gifts; donating gift cards instead will allow parents to buy presents they know their children will love!
Gift cards can be dropped off at the Parish Office until Dec 18. For more info, click here.
3) Sign a Prayer Card.
Whether or not you can give financially this Christmas, you can give your prayers! Prayer Cards can be found in the Annunciation Parish entrance, by the Christmas Trees. Commit to praying a decade of the rosary for a family in need, and add your signature to one of the cards.
The Prayer Cards will be added to each Christmas Hamper before its delivery. The goal is to shower these families in prayer, and let them know that we at Annunciation are praying for them specially this Christmas.
ALTAR SERVER TRAINING
Is your child interested in Altar Serving? Sign up for our next training session on Dec 10 from 12:30-2:30, with included pizza lunch and gingerbread house building!
SPECIAL SENIORS MASS & LUNCHEON
Join us on Dec 21 at 12pm for mass, fellowship, and good food! This month’s luncheon is provided by the Queenship of Mary as a fundraiser for their new convent being built in Plantagenet, Ontario. It’s an opportunity for us to support their good work!
Registration closes on Dec 18 so we can calculate numbers for the meal.
