CWL PRO LIFE FUNDRAISER

Annunciation’s Catholic Women’s League is running a fundraiser for the Miriam Centre. Our goal is to fill a bassinet with donations to support new mothers and their babies. Parenthood is challenging; let’s give generously and help them start this new chapter in their lives!

The bassinet will be located in the parish entrance from May 6-14th. Check out the list below and see what you can give:

  • Diaper cream
  • Nursing pads
  • Baby shampoo/Body wash
  • Hooded baby towels
  • Bibs
  • Baby no-scratch mittens
  • Pyjamas (0-9 months)
  • Clothes (0-9 months)
  • Socks (0-9 months)
  • Financial donation

To raise additional funds, the CWL is also raffling a beautiful handmade panel lap quilt! Visit the CWL table in the church entrance this weekend to purchase tickets.

Do you feel you know the Holy Spirit?

We often forget the third person of the Trinity. Given to the Church at Pentecost, the Holy Spirit is meant to be our helper and advocate. He inspired scripture. He intercedes for us. When we struggle for words, he can provide them. He offers, too, gifts to help us in our faith journey, stepping into the chaos of our lives and bringing joy and peace.

How do we get to know the Holy Spirit? Do we know if he is active in our lives? How can we receive his supernatural joy and peace?

Join us for a Pentecost Vigil on May 27 from 7-9pm and experience the Holy Spirit in a new way. We will have a talk from Fr. Ken Lao C.C., with music provided by parishioner Jeff Lavery. Prayer teams will be available to pray with you and ask for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in your life. There will be light refreshments and fellowship to follow.

We don’t need all the answers or perfect holiness. Like the apostles at Pentecost, let’s come as we are and experience the beauty of the Holy Spirit!
