MESSAGE FROM THE FINANCE COUNCIL
Dear parishioners,
Click here for a financial summary of 2022 for our parish! You will notice that in account 109 on page two, the grant money ($100,000.00) we received is noted in 2021. The money was not spent until the job was finished in 2022 (major repairs # 413). Since the bills were paid in 2022, the books show a $-98,000.
If you would like the complete financial report, please contact the office. An update of the 2023 financial year will be delivered this Fall.
This year, as of May 31, 2023, our total income is $271,300.00. Our total expenses are 235,700.00. This gives us a Net income of $35,600.00. We thank you for your continued generous support.
Blessings,
Maureen Tononon (on behalf of the finance council)
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – SHEPHERDS OF GOOD HOPE
For over 35 years, Annunciation and St. Gabriel’s have volunteered at the Shepherds of Good Hope’s soup kitchen, helping to serve Ottawa’s most vulnerable on Sundays in September and January. This invaluable service to our brothers and sisters in Christ has always been a rewarding outreach experience, and an opportunity for parishioners to serve alongside each other and build new friendships.
Hunger is a very real need in our community. We think of the words of Jesus in scripture—“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat”—and our hearts are moved to serve! Shepherds of Good Hope is serving more and more in our community as needs grow, and is looking for more volunteers. To keep fulfilling our parish commitment to their ministry, we want to grow our volunteer base!
If this ministry speaks to your heart, and you feel it may be something to which God is calling you, please reach out to Christine at cdemers2545@rogers.com.

You can support their spiritual journey by submitting prayer intentions using their online form. The intentions will be carried by the pilgrims to the shrine of our Lady of Fatima and entrusted there to God and Our Lady.
