PARISH NEWS
HALLOWEEN OUTREACH
Halloween is coming, and it brings with it a chance to reach out to our parish neighbourhood! On October 31, Annunciation will set up a tent on the front lawn and hand out candy, hot chocolate, and popcorn to kids and parents in our community.
Be a part of this outreach opportunity by dropping off candy donations at the Info Desk, or by joining us on Oct 31 to prep candy bags, make and serve treats, hand out candy, or set up/take down supplies. Remember the houses that gave the best candy at Halloween? Let’s be that place!

CHARISMATIC PRAYER GROUP
Our Charismatic prayer group meets on Monday afternoons from 1:30-3pm for prayer and worship. All are welcome!

The House is back! The first Junior night (for grades 6-8) will be Friday, October 13 at 7 pm. We’re also setting up a seniors group for grades 9-12, so stay tuned.

The House is also attending the JON musical festival, which features a number of fantastic Christian artists, including Maverick City’s Chandler Moore, and Lecrae. The cost is $26/participant, and there are only 10 spots available! To secure your spot, click here to register. It’s first come first serve, so don’t miss out!

Behold begins again this October! All are invited to encounter Jesus in a special way through Eucharistic adoration with Praise & Worship, followed by confession.
Date/Time: Oct 25 at 7:30pm

The evening will kick off with a talk from parishioner Richard O’Reilly. Richard has been an Annunciation parishioner for over 25 years, involving himself in various ministries including altar serving, liturgy, marriage prep, and Alpha. He’s been married to Lorie for 36 years and has three children, four grandchildren, and two more grandchildren the way!
SENIORS MASS & LUNCHEON
All seniors are invited to join us for Mass, fellowship, and good food. There is no cost to attend, so invite a friend! Our October speaker is Pierre O’Reilly, the Executive Director of NET Ministries and an Annunciation parishioner.
Date/Time: Oct 18, 12pm
Our pastors will offer the Anointing of the Sick after the 12pm Mass to anyone who would like to receive it. This sacrament can offer spiritual and physical healing, and also the grace and peace to face health challenges. While it is sometimes associated with Last Rites, the Anointing of the Sick is meant for any of the faithful who experience difficulty in illness.
Registration closes at 12am on October 12 in order to give enough time to calculate meal numbers.
40 DAYS FOR LIFE PARISH VIGIL DAY
On Wednesday, Oct 25th, our parish priests will be joining the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil in praying for an end to abortion. Parishioners are invited to join them throughout the day at the city designated vigil site on the southwest corner of Queen Street, just off Bank Street.
To learn more about the vigil day, including instructions on where to stand and how to prayerfully engage with the day, read the 40 Days for Life Guidelines provided to us.
