VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – SHEPHERDS OF GOOD HOPE

For over 35 years, Annunciation and St. Gabriel’s have volunteered at the Shepherds of Good Hope’s soup kitchen on Sundays, during January & September, serving Ottawa’s most vulnerable. Hunger is a very real need in our community. We think of the words of Jesus in scripture—“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat”—and our hearts are moved to serve!

Shepherds of Good Hope is serving more and more in our community as needs grow, and is looking for more volunteers. To keep fulfilling our parish commitment to their ministry, we want to grow our volunteer base! We are hoping to send 15 volunteers every Sunday in January to serve alongside other volunteers from 8:15am – 1:00pm.

If this ministry speaks to your heart, and you feel it may be something to which God is calling you, please reach out to Christine at cdemers2545@rogers.com. There are other times you can serve even if Sunday mornings don’t work for you.
