PARISH NEWS

Our youth leave today for the Steubenville Atlantic conference! Their flight was cancelled this morning. Please pray for smooth travels, safety, and for each youth to encounter God in a new way during the conference.

Keep an eye on our Facebook page; we’ll be posting photos of their trip as we receive them!

Want to help sponsor them? Click the link below to make a donation towards the cost of their trip. Select “Steubenville” from the dropdown menu.

Can you believe that we have 100 kids attending our Scuba summer camp and 74 volunteers?! Through your invitations to grandchildren, neighbours and school classmates each one of these kids and volunteers will be invited to dive into a friendship with Jesus!

You might be too old to attend the camp but there are many ways to be a part of this incredible outreach experience:

  1. Donate: with 100 kids attending the camp and 75 volunteers, we have a lot of mouths to feed! We are looking for Presidents Choice gift cards to help our snack leader feed the multitude. Gift cards can be dropped off at the info desk or the main office.
  2. Decorate: help us transform our hall and annex into an amazing underwater experience. We have all the ideas and decorations, we just need help to make it happen! Fill out the form below to sign up to help.

3. Pray! Please keep our Scuba kids and team in your prayers!

WISHLIST

We are a growing parish! Our goal is to create an environment that welcome new people and gives them a home. Sometimes our dreams surpass our budgets; that’s where you come in!

Our Wishlist is an online platform where we can post items/resources we’d love for our ministries that don’t currently fit our budgets. They change with our needs, and when someone purchases an item from a list, it disappears.

Currently, we are in need of new books to refresh our collection. Due to frequent use, our books are becoming tattered; help us refresh them before the Fall! Check the wishlist to see the books we are seeking.

We are also looking to add another religious soft doll to the collection. There are a few options on the wishlists.

*Please note that these are gifts and do not qualify for tax receipts. Thank you for your generosity!

NEW BAPTISM PREP DATES

Are you looking to have your child baptized? Our Baptismal Preparation Team prepares parents for the baptism of their child. During our sessions, you’ll dive deeper into the beauty of the sacrament of Baptism and discuss how to raise your children in the faith.

We also offer Family Baptism Preparation sessions for children ages 8 and older. These sessions are for both parents and child/children and are designed to be fun and engaging! Session dates will be arranged according to need.

To register your child for baptism, click here to fill out the form. For more information please contact Laura, our Director of Faith and Mission, at faithandmission@annunciation-ottawa.com .

We hope that you will come to see Annunciation Parish as your second home, a place where your family feels known and loved!
