Daylight Savings ends this weekend
We will “fall back” one hour at 2am this coming Sunday. Most smartphones adjust automatically, but make sure to adjust any physical clocks or alarms!
Tomorrow is our Halloween Outreach!
We will be packing up the candy bags in the morning, and setting up on the front lawn in the evening, ready to welcome our neighbourhood! Our volunteers will be handing out candy, glowsticks, cotton candy, hot chocolate, and popcorn (thanks to our new machine purchased through the generosity of our AMAZING donors). Families are welcome to use our washrooms and park in our parking lot.
Thank you to everyone who donated candy and treats! You help make this event so special. Every year, families who stop by tell us they’ve made Annunciation an intentional part of their Halloween plans. They meet up with friends in our parking lot, chat on our front lawn while warming up with hot chocolate, and bring their kids for bathroom breaks. These are people we might not meet otherwise.
Please pray for everyone out trick-or-treating tomorrow, and for all those we’ll meet. If you've got kids or grandkids, bring them by and grab some treats!

Each year on the Feast of All Souls, we gather to remember and pray for our loved ones who have gone before us. This year, our Memorial Mass will take place on November 2nd at 7pm.
Though we live in the hope of the resurrection, we also experience the grief of separation on earth. Jesus lost his friend Lazarus and he wept, even knowing he was about to raise Lazarus from the dead. His tears remind us that grief is a sign of great love.
The Feast of All Souls is a chance to remember, with great love, those who have died in this past year. Names of parishioners are included in our Book of Remembrance. If you would like to add the name of a close relative who passed away between Nov 2025 - Nov 2026, you are welcome to submit by emailing memorialmass@annunciation-ottawa.com.
*Please note that the 9am Mass on Nov 2nd is cancelled in preparation for the special evening celebration

Open to men between the ages of 18-34, this “Come & See” is an opportunity to see what life is like as a Companion of the Cross. There will be lots of time for prayer to hear God's voice, and discern if you are being called to the priesthood, while living our our communal life alongside us.
Come give God permission and spend some time on retreat with us!
Nov 30 - Dec 5, 2026 at Visitation House, Detroit
If you are interested in coming or have any questions, please contact Fr. Isaac Longworth (vocations@companionscross.org) to register.
