Introducing: Angelus and The Hub

Starting in October (the month of Mary), our current News & Notes will be getting a refresh and splitting into two connected spaces:


The Angelus
Our new weekly parish email, delivered every Friday at 6 pm (the same time as the Angelus prayer is prayed).

The Hub
Our website homebase for parish news, events, announcements, volunteer opportunities, ministry information, and more.


Why the change?

As we’ve been renovating our physical spaces, we also want our digital spaces to reflect the beauty and mission of our parish.

We want to:

  • Shift our main focus from simply sharing information to helping you engage more deeply with faith and mission

  • Connect with you each week in a way that goes deeper than announcements

  • Create a refreshed digital space that reflects the beauty and life of our parish


The Angelus will be our weekly invitation to go deeper in faith and mission. Each Friday at 6 pm, the email will begin by inviting us to pray the Angelus together. It felt especially fitting to connect this prayer with our parish name!

The Angelus will include:

Quick Updates
Short updates from our mission pathway ministries, including Alpha, Greenhouse, and sacraments.

A Parish Highlight
A testimony, ministry highlight, glory story, article, or another glimpse into how God is moving. This will change each week!

Sunday Debrief
A brief summary of the most recent Sunday homily, along with a takeaway to carry into the week. The goal is to help bring the Sunday experience into your inbox.

Every edition of The Angelus will also include a link to The Hub, where you can find the practical information, events, and announcements. 


The Hub will be very similar to what you already know as News & Notes, just with a refreshed look. All the regular sections, announcements, events, volunteer opportunities, and ministry information will continue to live here on our website.

Welcome to our NET Team!

We’re so excited to have four amazing NET Canada missionaries at our parish this year. Zahra, Hannah, Jacinta, and Pamela will be helping run youth ministry at Annunciation in 2026-27. 

Come support them with prayer at this Saturday’s Commissioning Mass, where they’ll be blessed and sent out into their year of mission. The Mass is at 7pm this Saturday, Sept 26th, at St. Mary’s parish. A light reception will follow.

Fellowship needs your help!

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see our Annunciation Family grow even stronger—and even bigger? Fellowship is one simple way we can help make that happen, by creating opportunities to meet one another, build friendships, and strengthen our parish community. Fellowship is all about creating an environment so that, “more of us know more of us.” But we need your help!

We are looking for people to help with Fellowship and hospitality after our Sunday morning Masses. There are many ways to help, and every contribution matters. Whether you can assist regularly or just occasionally, we would be grateful to have you join the team.

This October, we mark 15 years since the death of our founder, Fr. Bob Bedard, CC. Gather with us to honour his legacy and ask God for more! Celebrate Fr. Bob’s legacy with worship and adoration, testimony, and a main talk by Fr. Simon Lobo!
